Thursday


After a tough loss at Alumni Wednesday, the Swamp Bats have two road games.

Thursday's game is at Valley and Friday, the Swamp Bats visit Newport.

The Swamp Bats return home Saturday. The evening is devoted to First Responders.
There's a celebration with fireworks after the game.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Brandon Smith has set a league record or Runs Batted In, has set a team record for hits and going into Wednesday night, has 11 Home runs (tied for league-lead) and is batting 373 ! MichaelMcMahon of the Keene Sentinel and Swamp Bats manager Lyndon Coleman have brought up the idea that Brandon Smith should be the Most Valuable Player of the NECBL. That’s a heck of an idea. The Pride of Georgetown, Indiana Smith’s a heckuva player, a great ambassador for the Swamp Bats, did NOT miss a beat when he switched from 1st to 3 rd base and been a leader on the field and a great teammate. Wednesday didn’t go as planned but there’s a rematch for Friday night. Brandon Smith Jesse Mayfield-Sheehan hade a good write-up in today’sSentinel.
