Keene Swamp Bats 2018 Diary

Our game vs. Sanford at Alumni is full steam ahead. The tarp is on the field. That nice people at the weather channel show us the rain should blow away before gametime.  There's also The Keene Sentinel.

Photo by Lex. On another picture-perfect night, a crowd of 2347 came out for Reading with Ribby night and a 13-1 win over visiting Winnipesaukee. Wednesday’s June 13th game at Alumni is Superhero Night. Methinks the whole team will be Batman.  The Swamp Bats will be playing the Sanford Mainers.

After today’s day off, the Swamp Bats will be plenty busy over the next fortnight.  We have the Reading with Ribby honors, and we play the Muskrats Tuesday,  beginning  at 6 pm  Wednesday, we host  the Mainers on Superhero night.  Then it's off to  Valley for Thursday, and @ Newport Friday.  We return to Alumni Saturday, to host the Steeple Cats and honor First Responders. Then, we travel to Winnipesaukee for the scheduled Sunday game. On Monday, we’ll be at Winnipesaukee to make up our June 5 rainout. The rest of the schedule is  here.

After a tough loss last night, the Bats have the day off Monday. Winnipesaukee visits Tuesday night, the first of three Muskrats matches in a week. Tuesday is our celebration of Reading with Ribby, honoring the youngsters who met the reading goals of Ribby's program.

            The Swamp Bats head to New Bedford this evening to take on the Bay Sox.  As always, you'll find wonderful photos from Saturday's game here.
